Well the summer has come and gone and now we're back in the sweaty, uncomfortable climate of Hong Kong...let's hope the recent typhoon will blow some of this sticky heat up someone else's ying yang for a bit :D
We have a shite-load of footage from the summer to sift through and as soon as we chop it up and put some spice on it we'll serve it up to ya nice n steamy! We'll let yas know when the meal is ready...
Anywho, we had one hell of a journey this summer and we thought that we'd throw out a few word of thanks to some of the cats that were along for the ride. These are in no particular order, but yeah, these are some of the peeps that helped us along the way...
Marc Beatty...the man you need to know in the UK. Amazing tour guide, excellent host and superb engineer! The guy is a champ! We owe him some drinks...if you see him, grab him one for us..and give him a hug while yer at it! :P
The friendly folk at Truck Festival...hard to believe that out of all the bands I ended up staggering on stage with to sing some gospel song were from Nova Scotia! No other festival would this happen at! Many thanks dudes for the hook ups and the chance to "smash the bottle" against the new main stage! A great way to start the tour!
Emily (Shindig) and Lee (Smilex/Port Mahone)...excellent gigs dudes! Many thanks for the good times and the venues to make noise in! We'll never look at Brighton and Oxford the same again....this may be due to the damage to our brain cells though!
Castle Eaton Studios in Randwick, Gloucestershire...who would have thought something so good would have came out of somewhere in the middle of nowhere!! Mikey...yer a legend! Looking forward to doing some more work together in the future!
Gibson Guitars...many thanks for the sexy T-bird bass that we got to use on tour! I thank you, the crowds thank you and most importantly, Dave's fingers thank you :)
Shure Microphones...excellent results in the studios dudes...Dave sounds like a songbird now...a songbird from the depths of rock n roll hell! :D
And most importantly...thank YOU to all who showed up to the gigs, festivals, recording sessions, dinners, boozers, poppers and laughers! An excellent ride was had by all! Looking forward to doing it all again soon!
Ok...time to do some arm-less push ups...the beer and bacon sandwich diet from Truck has taken it's toll!
Stay sexy people...looking forward to seein yas at the next gig...we got some surprises planned for October!

Gibson Guitars have graciously offered a free customised bass guitar to be given away at the show...also, we’re working together with Star Crossed Tattoos again and they are offering some free tattoo coupons too (since they’re celebrating their 2nd birthday the same night...and since they love you too!! :D)

Drop by if you’re interested in some kick ass music and the chance to win a bass guitar and some tattoos...but then again, if yer not interested in this, you should be running to a doctor to get checked out...there’s something seriously wrong with you!! :O
ok...I’m going to stop typing now :P
Enjoy the flyer...thanks to R&J for the help throwin it together...we love you guys!
man, you guys suck so bad... at getting more songs done and uploaded! DP means Droning Procrastination to me! wish there were more songs here!
apart from that, luv the sabbath-ish riffage in all four songs here. where can i get the EP/demo? otherwise i'm gonna have to find a way to rip it off this site...
We will showcast the new songs we have written during our past 1 year of hiatus at the Waterfront Series at The Esplande. Please come on 23 May 2008 at 10pm and 24 May 2008 845pm at Stage@Powerhouse, Esplanade, Singapore to support us and hear our new songs!
Many people have tried to answer this question, few have succeeded. Some think it means Digital Programmer, other sickos think Double Penetration. The sickos are actually closer to the truth...cause you're gonna feel violated once you've experience DP!
The truth is, it's up to you :) Our favourite so far is "Dildo Party" (which apparently are similar to tupperwear parties!).
Feel free to venture into the realm of DP definitions...
When and where can one get DP'd?
Next confirmed date is in Oxford, England for Truck Festival.
...there will probably be one or two more shows in HK before then though...we'll keep ya posted!
Bio
How would you describe the double headed, four-armed beast of rock that is DP? Let’s start with what we know shall we…
We know that DP are two long haired, bearded kings - Dave Wong (vocals and bass) and Paul Maclean (drums). A pair of emotionally damaged love children spawned by Sabbath and Soundgarden, these are big men with big desires. XXL all the way baby.
We know that together, these two behemoths make an ungodly racket that resides somewhere between eleven and infinity on the volume control.
We know that when local favourites The Academy called it a day, out from their ashes rose a rabid panther – who, after savaging the phoenix, now has its sights set on breaking out into the ether.
To date, news of Dave’s full throttle fuzz assault and Paul’s brutal, driving rhythms have seen the nascent duo pack out live venues on pure word of mouth alone. Invited to play the prestigious industry showcase event at Music Matters and currently in the studio with primo knob-twiddler Dan F, this is just the beginning. Bets are on that these two are going to eat the whole world.
Imagine, if you will: A primordial cacophony, summoned from the ancient gods of metal. Thunderous drumming and lighting riffage pay homage to the ancestral fires that forged their spirit. A raw intensity that draws creation from destruction.
Songs of man and beast.
Imagine all of that and try to picture it in your head. Then forget it. For you can try to cage DP though it will never happen.
You can try to describe DP as ‘psychedelic-this’ or ‘metal-that’, though that’s missing the point. This kind of rock purity needs no prefix, no suffix. No nothing.
When all is said and done - DP IS ROCK. That is all you need to know.
