| "Bleak" - offering little or no hope;
Investment - the act of investing with a quality, attribute, etc.
Who Are We??
We are an energetic group who enjoys performing for the audience enjoyment!! "We aren’t musicians, we’re entertainers" is what Damien (Guitar) always quote. Our act involves covers from the mainstream modern and old songs combined to give an explosive show that is sure to start the crowed moving!!
The Members? Syed - Guitarist The comedian of the band!! Constantly adding humor to the practice sessions, Syed is able to crack the craziest and sometimes the dumbest jokes you could ever think of.
Danial - Drums Most probably the sarcastic one and the trend setter. He has the ability to hit back at you for whatever you’re saying!! Also he sets the expressive trends which has a big impact in the speech of the band members.
Jason - Bass The young one. Being the youngest member in the band, Jason tends to be the target of jokes and is often bullied. However, he does have a few tricks up his sleeves.
Damien - Guitarist The dreamer (a.k.a stoner). He has the biggest unrealistic dreams and imagination you could ever think of. Also, Damien is extremely blur and takes a second or two to know whats going on. He’s the second target of banging, although he doesnt know it.
The Story Bleak Investment started off as a 3 piece band consisting of Damien, Dhanyal and Lam. From there we only performed covers and played mainly straight forward punk rock. Along came an opportunity to record when we were offered sponsorship to record 2 originals from some students in IACT. And there, Damien invited Syed to join the band to add more originals to the list and fill in the empty guitarist position.
A year later, Dhanyal excepted a job outstation which disallowed him to attend practices regularly, so then came the search for a new drummer, where Danial was recruited, another college mate of Damien and Syed. Because of the influence of Danial we expended to a wider scope of rock covering alternative and emo rock.
After a few gigs, Lam had to leave his position as the bassist because of his passion to teach piano. It was a major blow to the band to lose two founders of bleak investment. So we seeked out and found Damien’s first bands bassist which knew most of the songs we played and he filled the position like butter and jam!!
