Well its started as a nick for the band leader Mika. He is called as Flaming Lunatic by his cyber buddy. So the Nick stayed when Mika performed solo and When he formed a band, what else suits better right?
What Kinda Music Do TFL Do?
Generally we dont like to be screwed into one genre. But typically we are a "Rock and Grunge Band". Then again "Rock" cant be defined. We do Pop Rock, Grunge, Hard Rock, Slow Rock, Punk Rock, Funk Rock, Progressive Rock and So On,,,One of our song is even in 60s Rock and Roll Genre.
Why not a major label.
Not that we dont want to try them. Its just the music industry and record sales are on a downward spiral since the MP3 and Itunes era. Its more viable economically for us to have our own label. Its also liberating in term of making music and shows.
We hear that TFL sells Music Instrument Online, any truth??
Nope,,,thats not true and its technically not correct. We dont sell music instrument, our Label does that. Our Label MicroMusic sells all type and Brand of music instrument to musician only. They noticed that musician generally get screwed by music shop/vendor/trader by high pricing. So they took the bold move into selling the same instruments to the musician with better price. They sell online and thats mean , their overhead is low,,So they pass this savings to the musician. Afterall, Their MOtto," Peer to Peer Sales".
When you guys gonna come out with an album or a release.
The plan is to come out with our EP by End of August 07 (Date moved to 15th Sept 2007). It will be a 4 track mastered CD. The EP will have Two Malay songs and Two English songs in it.
We are also planning to roll out our Debut album somewhere in October 07. It will be 10 Track Album.
Our Japanese EP which consist of 2 English and 2 Japanese song will be out in November 07. Followed by an EP in Mandarin for Taiwan and Mainland China market.
Other plans, we shall we keep it to ourself.
But Faith has it own course and everything is postponed to be done in MId 2008. Just wait and see ya..

Heh,,What about them? At the moment we are in recording, so our gig time is limited. We are also moving in event organising with our Label. We are now actively in gig circuit. ANyone intrested in us to perform in your shows,,Just contact us.

Bio
The Flaming Lunatics was born in 2006. She had survived two major heart attack ( 3 major line up shakedown) and now the original member Mika is the only remains. From March 2008 TFL are Mika-Vox and Pali The Bassist. Those who are intrested and have what it takes to be our guitarist and Drummer ,,,come for an audition by calling the number below.
