The name [ лüК ] was taken from the word ‘nuclear’ that resembles ‘power of mass destruction’ that the band possess.  The band "Nu-Metal" concept coupled with the dynamic, energetic and creativity on stage really delights all genre of music lovers.

[лüК] was formed end of October 2005 on the eve of “BlastOff – Season 2” audition, one of the biggest nationwide battle of the bands event (which was broadcast live by a major television station in Malaysia). We played our first show at BlastOff Trials at Club Orange KL (20^th November 2005) and achieving to enter the final stages of the competition. After 7 consecutive shows, we were finally out of the competition finishing as semi-finalists and having a highly credited 4^th placing in music band category overall, beating over 1,000 bands from all over the country.

The defeat at BlastOff Season 2 did not damper our spirits to continue on planning our next move; which was to start making new materials for the band as well as to improve all weakness within the band, thus making our show even tighter and "heavier" than ever. For this, the band had taken a long breather from the music scene during year 2006.

Since then, NüK had undergone a transition process whereby new equipments were brought in for the added vibe and touch to the sounds which the band plans to produce. It would give an added ‘touch’ to the already unique sound that the band possesses. At the same time, new materials were written and are ready to be recorded.

After a grueling period of continuous DIY trials and recordings, our single, simply entitled “N u K – Enter The Zone” was finished in May 2007. It compromises 2 of our best selected songs namely “E.T.Z. (Enter the Zone)” and “A-Nia-ya”. The band plans to release this single in early June 2007 hoping to capture the attention of established labels  (either locally or internationally) in the future.

Work does not end here for NüK as there are 9 more songs ready to be completed come October 2007.
