A Sudden Singapore Tour! (Sat, 8 Dec.)
An Orchestrated Movement Into The Other Side (Tue, 4 Dec.)
We had so much fun at The Otherside Orchestra's Album Launching Party we felt as if it was one big people-infested birthday party!

The Annexe was literally swarmed with post-SPM/post-PMR kids battling it out with the usual gig-going crowds to see who flaunted their love for their favourite bands the best. It was sheer madness as it was made known to us that the floor of The Gallery was bending/cracking due to excessive movements made by the wild crowd.

We were shocked and flattered at the same time when we saw a small pit in the centre that was actually moshing/pogo-ing to the noises that we made and a couple of dudes even bodysurfed all the way to the back! Thanks for making our day guys! We love you!

Congrats and all the best to Wan & The Otherside Orchestra for the release of their much-anticipated debut album. And also a big thank you to Analog Six for warming up the crowd before us. Those kids certainly love their wacko disco!

Our next show will mark a whole set of new breakthroughs for us. It'll be the first time that we're actually getting across nation boarders with our gears, our passports stamped, glaring stares from immigration officers, neverending comparison against currencies and whatnot for one sole purpose. WE WANNA HIT SINGAPORE SO BAD THAT THEY WANT US BACK THERE! Haha.

So yeah. If you're reading this and you so happen to be a Singaporean or you so happen to be in Singapore around the 12th and 14th of December, do make your way to *Scape Youth Centre at Somerset and Home Club respectively and witness 5 Malaysian mid-20s sweat their heart out (we've yet to bleed, but we're more than willing!) for the sake of just letting you know how much they love making sweet noises on stage.

See ya!

A Good Start To A Perfect Ending (Sun, 16 Sep.)
So our weekly run of gigs came to an end last week with a satisfactory blast at our home ground of good ol' Subang Jaya. Let's do this re-cap accordingly yeah?

11th August 2007
This show marked the return of our beloved former conspirator, Azmir into the fold as he resumes his role as the band's call-up vocalist. Playing at Olympia College's Orientation Ball in Corus Hotel taught us an important lesson: to not play for proms anymore. Heh. The whole thing was ok, it's just that, we didn't feel like it was worth all the time and energy spent. Then again sharing the stage with the explosive The Fridays has always been a joy. It also witnessed the debut of an up-and-coming new outfit. The enigmatic Yuna and her band of misfits, of which two of them is from Telephony Delivery. Wanna take a shot at guessing who these bastards are? Heh.

18th August 2007
After 2 months, Until Tonight saw us returning to KL Jam Asia with a mission to rekindle our fighting spirit that was apparently lost from the last gig. Playing exactly right after the magnificent Oh Chenta Ku proved to be a mountain to climb as we burst into our set like giants on speed. A video of us was taken from this gig while performing our newest track, In Absence that was debuted at Chenta Itu Bhuta back in June.

25th August 2007
We were pitted against the best bands ever witnessed by the scene in the past decade. Adding more to the excitement of Your Next In Line!!! was the inclusion of the ever elusive Akta Angkasa, returning to the gigging masses with a brand new shade of sonic assault that never fails to leave jaws dropping and eyes blinking in disbelief. Given the opportunity to open for such an intense lineup was for us, surreal beyond reasons.

2nd September 2007
We never dreamt of playing another festival this year, let alone outside the bustling madness of KL. But we did just that. Malacca House Of Indie 2007 was by far, the most nerve wrecking show we ever did. We were slotted as the last band before the night ends with a 2-hour set by spin meister DJ Ben Cracko. Playing last meant playing after the heavyweight-likes of Hujan, Bittersweet, Love Me Butch and Seven Collar T-Shirt. But we proved our worth by sailing into yet another confident set despite technical errors faced by Pa'an.

8th September 2007
Chenta Kasorgha was another historical milestone for the band as we were asked to perform an acoustic set without our backbone Adib due to his involvement in the recent Terengganu Street Fest in Bukit Bintang. Soaking up the challenge as to defy naysayers that claimed our brand of music can't go acoustic, we intensively practiced and dissected our songs and re-assembled them in a new perspective. The roaring applause that we received from the crowd was a testament that it was another job well done.

We'd like to thank every single soul that was involved in making everything we went through this past 5 weeks a memorable experience. You know who you are, and you know damn well that we love you.

We also received news from our good friend Mr. Stalin that our article is now out on his webzine. Do check it out here.

We're taking this Ramadhan to reflect on ourselves and attempt to discover new avenues that we could explore and excite. In the meantime, have a monumental Ramadhan everyone. See ya soon.

With love,
Telephony Delivery

Q&A
You guys don't really sound like any other post-rock acts in the region, what do you think would best describe your music?
Truthfully, none of us are fans of post-rock as of now but we do owe ourselves to a selected few like 65 Days Of Static and the likes of it. We're more of a Progressive band rather than a Post-Rock outfit. We think it's safe to label ourselves as "Prost-Rock".
Besides 65 Days Of Static, what other influences made this band the band it is now?
As far as influence goes, we are easily influenced by anything. But we think it's a healthy practice to be constantly inspired by your peers/idols in the scene. Akta Angkasa's brilliant songcraft has definitely influenced us to a certain extent. They Will Kill Us All's brand of noise-pop has never been short of inspiring.
Bio
Started initially as an ambitious post-rock outfit, Telephony Delivery had gone through multitudes of unforeseen events and creative slumps within a few months of its inception that raising the white flag seemed a blissful thought. Losing 2 of its founding members in a space 7 months saw the remaining bandmates gathered their spent forces and soldiered on for a better glimpse of the future.

As chaos often gave birth to a new beginning, this lot of noise misfits immediately formed the band after the demise of a former, fairly-known outfit Fletcher. Spearheaded by bassist Azmir as the primary key instigator, Telephony Delivery garnered a warm buzz in the local scene after their New Year’s Eve stage debut and the release of their self-titled demo in January 2006. With both guitarists -Syamil and Farhan- are very much tied at their hands with study commitments, the first half of 2006 saw them threading the vicious route of despair as gig invites are frequently rejected and practice sessions often cancelled. Upsetting keyboardist Azhar and drummer Adib along the way. Azmir has already left the country by then since he opted to hone his culinary craft in Switzerland, as the band welcomes the arrival of a jazz enthusiast into the fold. They call him Bob for short.

Syamil’s best ever performance was during the recording of June Of July where he pulled a marvellous job handling the synchopathic patterns and demanding lead parts. Ironically, somewhere in July they waved him goodbye as he bowed his way out of the band. He’s still rocking the stage with indie stalwarts Cik Payung and pop darlings Lucy In The Loo so do catch him at your nearby venue anytime soon.

After much debate and late-night brainstorming sessions, Syamil’s departure made them realize that they can do more with what they have. They decided to stick with the one-guitar format and roped in reputable DJ/producer Shaheeran (a.k.a Shaheed Naz) to fill in the void and to add a new dimension to their already sparse sonic attacks. His inclusion to the band meant that they’re taking no prisoners this time. All out, pedal-to-the-metal, all of it or none of it.

Although slowly throwing the post-rock tag in the air, the band remains ambitious nonetheless. With this new bent they’re taking, the only thing’s for sure that this might be a make or break period for them. It may do wonders, or just go straight-up bonkers.

Either way, Telephony Delivery is here to stay.
