Beyond The Storm (Fri, 1 Aug.)
Finally, the new 2nd single of TGM is up, after much procrastination.
You people may be a little surprised at the new song, but I hope you enjoy it, as much as I enjoyed writing it.
Truly a trippin’ experience, with a dance techno-ish beat at the back.
Please do forgive me if you may cringe at the humble and sloppy solo attempt of mine in "Beyond The Storm". But I always believed it’s not just about the speed, but the feel in the lead.
Enough of the crap talk.

After days of butt-aching being in front of the laptop most of the time, the Single "Escape Euphoria" is finally up and The Gyre Motion’s Amp.channelv site is finally done setting up!
Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making this song.. It’s a wonderful song (yeah right!). But I had a great time doing the solos, it was truly a great experience playing around with my pedals and guitars, getting the right (wrong?) sound. And actually having some "solo" parts in "Escape Euphoria" which I did not intended for in the earlier stages of writing this song.
Truly one of the few songs that really took me places in my mind as I listen to it’s progress.
I hope it takes you places too, places where you wish you could go, places where you wish you could be in, people you wish you could be with.
Take yourself on another journey after your escape from euphoria. :)
How was "Escape Euphoria" and "Beyond The Storm" recorded?
"Escape Euphoria" was recorded with only my Electric Guitars, a 30watt Laney SolidStateAmp, Some guitar pedals, and a $10 PC Mic.
"Beyond The Storm" was recorded with the same ol' equipments, but the 30watts amp was upgraded to a 65watts Laney amp.
Nothing professional really. :)

I do not wish to explain to you why are the songs made this way, or what does it mean..
I'll leave it all up to the listener to judge his/her own feelings towards the music.

A GYRE is any manner of swirling vortex, often used to describe wind of ocean currents.
MOTION is the result of an applied force. In terms of velocity, acceleration, displacement, and time.
The Gyre Motion™ is a side-project created by Eugene San, spawned in March 2008, with reasons none other than to make music that is hopefully enjoyable to listeners of different genre come together.
Known to fuse dance/techno/trance drum beats with guitars and effects, The Gyre Motion™ continues to try giving you some cookies.
