I started out by writing poems and singing them out during my last year of high-school because I was (and still am) one of those people that think too much.
How did you get your first guitar?
I walked in the rain to get my first guitar from a bookshop.
What are your influences?
I am heavily influenced by the things that go on in my life, mildly by the books I have read and the songs I have listened to and liked.
What do you sound like?
I think I would sound like the sister that you never had whose diary you’d love to read and leave comments in from time to time.
What's your setup?
I play the guitar for survival but I have a gang called the Marhaens to back me up consisting of awesome local musicians on drums, bass, guitars, percussion and cello.
How would you classify your music?
I would classify my music under the honest section, between experimental and just mental.

I’m Ana Raffali and I love songs that create moods, forces out feelings, melodiously dramatic, dark or pretty or both. And I’m hoping to write songs like that. I wouldn’t want to restrict my writing and be classified into only one genre so expect something different from me once in a while. If you wanna know more, just ask.
